First I want to start with this statemeant: In our lives we experience a lot of if it is meant to be, it will be's. The most recent one just happened about a month ago. I hope my daughter and son in law don't get angry with me because of what I'm about to say.

My daughter and son in law have been trying to buy a house for awhile, but there were a lot of challenges and obstacles in the way until it finally happened. I won't get into details but I saw their emotions go up and down like an endless rollercoaster, and it wasn't fun I can assure you of that, but I can relate to a similar experience I had 20 + years ago when I wanted to purchase my first house, but my attitude then was a lot different then it is now and I'm glad it changed.

Another example approximately 4 years ago or so it was either my son in law or my daughter were looking for a cat for us, and it was the last one of the litter. We had about 20 minutes to get this cat and if we didn't get it then we would have been out of luck. This was another time when I used the expression; If it is meant to be it will be and it was. The cat was there we took him home and we have had him ever since. There are more examples to this but you know what? I don't have enough time to write or explain it all.

All things that happen to us according to God's will and we don't always understand why they happen or why they don't happen. In His still quiet voice whether it is through His words from the bible or through someone else or however it is presented to us His voice is always saying if it is meant to be it will be, but Keep in mind He says " If It Is According to My Will If It Is Meant To Be It Will Be'" .

Some scripture verses to consider according to the NASB bible:

NUMBERS 14:41-45

41 BUT MOSES SAID, " WHY THEN ARE YOU TRANSGRESSING THE COMMANDMENT OF THE LORD, WHEN IT WILL NOT SUCCEED? 42 " DO NOT GO UP , OR YOU WILL BE STRUCK DOWN BEFORE YOUR ENEMIES, FOR THE LORD IS NOT AMONG YOU. 43 " FOR THE AMALEKITES AND THE CANAANITES WILL BE THERE IN FRONT OF YOU, AND YOU WILL FALL BY THE SWORD, INASMUCH AS YOU HAVE TURNED BACK FROM FOLLOWING THE LORD. AND THE LORD WILL NOT BE WITH YOU." 44 BUT THEY WENT UP HEEDLESSLY TO THE RIDGE OF THE HILL COUNTRY; NEITHER THE ARK OF THE COVENANT OF THE LORD NOR MOSES LEFT THE CAMP. 45 THEN THE AMALEKITES AND THE CANAANITES WHO LIVED IN THAT HILL COUNTRY CAME DOWN, AND STRUCK THEM AND BEAT THEM DOWN AS FAR AS HORMAH.

JOHN 7:17

"IF ANYONE IS WILLING TO DO HIS WILL, HE WILL KNOW OF THE TEACHING, WHETHER IT IS OF GOD OR WHETHER I SPEAK FROM MYSELF.

JOSHUA 24:15

" IF IT IS DISAGREEABLE IN YOUR SIGHT TO SERVE THE LORD CHOOSE FOR YOURSELVES TODAY WHOM YOU WILL SERVE: WHETHER GODS WHICH YOUR FATHERS SERVED WHICH WERE BEYOND THE RIVER, OR THE GODS OF THE AMORITES IN WHOSE LAND YOU ARE LIVING; BUT AS FOR ME AND MY HOUSE, WE WILL SERVE THE LORD.

How the Lord spoke to me.

First, to start this blog, I just want to let you all know that God speaks to us in several ways. It can be through a friend, it can be from our Pastors, it can be through a television or radio message or it can be through the bible which is God's word any way.

However this blog is how God spoke to me through the bible during my devotional time recently one morning, and then more recently I shared it at the men's ministry meeting on Thursday evening march 10, 2011. I will share the scripture verses with you later on in the blog.

One of the things I ask God everyday during my prayer time is; God what is it that You want me to do during this lifetime? And He told me first to obey Him when He tells me to do something. My answer to Him was ok I will try. Then on the next day during my prayer time and my devotional; He said to me carry the light. These that were spoken to me by Him were clear as day! Just like carrying on a regular conversation with Him right next to me in the same room!

This isn't the first experience of had like this either. When God speaks to me; almost all the time it is through the bible. WOW, it is very exciting, and the funny part about it, is these scripture verses I've read hundreds of times, and sometimes you just get it! WOW again! These experiences are the most extraordinary experiences we can ever have! And when we finally get it, it feels real good, and then we ask ourselves " Why didn't I get it before when I have read it a hundred times before? " To answer this question the only thing I can think of is either we weren't listening or we just weren't ready for it at the time.

This is truly the way God works and it is awesome! When we get these answers suddenly, we know that He is always listening, but are we always listening? Food for thought. So in closing this blog, this is my suggestion, everyday so long as we live in this world, and this is just a suggestion, we should always put time aside to spend it with God, and be persistent, don't ever give up, and always talk to God. He is always listening, and he wants that intermate relationship with all of us.

And although the answers don't always come quickly according to our time, they always come, and they come in Gods perfect time, and His time is always perfect even though we don't think so sometimes.

Now for the scripture verses, and these scripture verses are coming from the NASB bible.

Matthew 28:19-20
19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I commanded you and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. "

Psalm 96: 2-3
2 Sing to the Lord, bless His name; proclaim good tidings of His salvation from day to day. 3 Tell of His glory among the nations, His wonderful deeds among all the peoples.

Fresh Snow.

When you see fresh snow on the ground that hasn't even been walked on yet, what do you think of? I think of a fresh start, peace, serenity, unshaken, and a promise. For example: About a week ago we had a pretty strong snowstorm, and as it was falling, it felt brutal, it looked brutal, and was very brutal trying to move around in it, but when it finally stopped it left a beautiful, and serene coating of white behind.

The next day I happen to be walking around ,sporting my camera around my neck searching for that perfect picture. I looked around my neighborhood for awhile but really couldn't find that perfect picture so I was about to give up. I didn't find what I was looking for till the next day after I got out of work.

Around three thirty or so as I was walking up my front stairs to my porch, I looked over my left shoulder and saw the perfect picture that inspired me to write this blog. There was a few shadows and a couple of random sticks laying there in my front yard, but the snow was not interrupted, not even an animal foot print was in the snow. To me it was beautiful! So I walked into my house, and grabbed my camera and took a couple of pictures.

This shot I think was the better of the two so I published it to my blog. I think this picture tells the story best.

This is the way in a lot of cases God works in our lives. When we go through many trials and tribulations that can be very hurtful and very challenging, and we just want to give up. Just like getting stuck traveling in a bad snowstorm you want to give up, your scared, and your challenged, and you just want to get to the other side without the suffering, but then God says" just trust Me, you will be alright, I promise." "I am the One who will give you that peace, that serenity, and that promise, and nobody else in the world can do that for you The way that I can."

" I will carry you through all of your trials and tribulations of your life I always have and I always will. " This is what God says.

Here are some verses of scripture for who ever reads this to meditate on. I get these scripture verses from the NASB Bible.

2 Kings 20: 19

Then Hezekiah said to Isaiah, " The word of the Lord which you have spoken is good." For he thought , " Is it not so, if there will be peace and truth in my days?"

Hebrews 6: 13-14

13 For when God made the promise to Abraham, since He could swear by no one greater, He swore by Himself, 14 Saying, " I will surely bless you and I will surely multiply you."

Mark 4:39

And He got up and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, " Hush be still." And the wind died down and it became perfectly calm.

A life with no direction.

Lately so it seems, I've been thinking a lot about my future, and about where I am going from here, and it hasn't been easy. Surely where I am now in my life I am thankful for what I have, but it seems that there is so much more, but I don't know what it is.

In prayers everyday I am often wondering, and asking God for some kind of direction, but haven't really heard anything or maybe I am not listening. I know God put me here for a reason and He supposedly has some kind of plan for all of us, however I don't know what mine is.

Work has been extremely tough lately, and as a matter of fact it doesn't seem to be getting any easier; So what do I do? Well the only thing I can do is keep on asking God for direction and if he is answering me at all I can only hope that I will hear Him one of these times, and hope that it isn't to late.

Work is getting so tough lately I am finding it a lot more difficult to get up in the morning, and this isn't good or maybe it is just dealing with life in general. Probably the latter. It seems I missed my boat and it isn't coming back anytime soon.

There are so many things in life that I have tried, but to know avail, thus, the reason why I feel so lost. It is tough when you feel that you want to do something in life to serve, and when it isn't acknowledged it makes for a difficult task to carry on. The only thing that is keeping me going is perhaps hope in faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, but He isn't here right in front of me telling me where I am going, what my future holds. I am like a lost sheep and I can't find my way home.

It is discouraging, and what makes it worse; I don't have any idea. I don't really know how to set goals, therefore I really don't have any goals, and this is certainly killing me. He has plans for me, but what are they? How come I don't get it? Why am I here Lord? Why? What is it Lord that You want me to do with my life? What direction do You want me to go in? What is Your goal for me because I don't know?

As I close this blog there are a couple of scriptures I want to add from the NASB Bible, starting with 1 Samuel 9: 11-14

11 As they went up the slope to the city, they found young women going out to draw water and said to them, " Is the seer here?" 12 They answered them and said, " He is; see, he is ahead of you. Hurry now, for he has come into the city today, for the people have a sacrifice on the high place today. 13 As soon as you enter the city you will find him before he goes up to the high place to eat, for the people will not eat until he comes, because he must bless the sacrifice; afterward those who are invited will eat. Now therefore , go up for you will find him at once." 14 So they went up to the city. As they came into the city, behold, Samuel was coming out toward them to go up to the high place.

Hebrews 11:8

By faith Abraham, when he was called, obeyed by going out to a place which he was to receive for an inheritance; and he went out, not knowing where he was going.

Psalm 82:5

They do not know nor do they understand; They walk about in darkness; All the foundations of the earth are shaken.

Psalm 107:27

They reeled and staggered like a drunkin man, And were at their wits end.

There are so many more scripture verses that have to do with this blog, but I can't write them all. I do hope who ever reads this understands what I am talking about. These are just a tip of the iceberg. If there are any questions about this blog, I will try to answer them to the best of my ability.

Why do we forget?

Life sure throws a lot of curve balls at us everyday, especially in our temporary life that we live in, in this world. The last two weeks have been no exception, and all parties involved are suffering and hurting. What is amazing to me is we try to do everything right, and because of our inadequacies the things we are trying to do, don't turn out right, and all of sudden all of us forget the good things we do for each other.

For example when we work for an employer and we are doing good at the job we are suppose to be doing, we very really get an aknowledgement or a compliment for what we are doing. There are exceptions sometimes from our superiors, but not to often. Family and friends are the same way. We very really get an aknowledgement or compliment on how good we are, for doing what we are doing. It is kind of sad, and I suppose we shouldn't expect it, but sometimes we can't help feeling this way.

Now when we do something wrong or don't live up to each others expectations, we all of sudden forget all the good we have done for one another. Then the anger and fury come, and it doesn't go away quickly at least in some cases. This really hurts again with all parties involved, and even tears of pain and hurt take place. We are all suppose to be working together, and not against each other especially family. So why do we forget? I think the reason why we forget about the good things that we do for each other is because neither one of us are always fond of the environment around us in our daily lives, and, we don't have a lot of control over the complete situation at hand.

This creates anger and stress. We are frustrated. It is like there is this very large wall in front of us, and we can't see around it or look over it we are blinded, we can't see any light, and we wonder; " Where are you God? What is the lesson You want us to learn from this situation? Why did it happen? Please God make it disappear, Please Lord! Please help us Lord, Please help us. Please answer us Lord!." Amen!

I am closing this blog with some scripture verses from the NASB bible and, because ther isn't any bible verses I can find with forget, I will use the ones with forgotten.

Job 18: 17
Memory of him perishes from the earth, And he has no name abroad.

Ecclesiastes 1:11
There is no remeberance of earlier things; And also of the later things which will occur, There will be for them no rememberance among those who will come later still.

Psalm 103: 12
As far as the east is from the west, So far has He removed our transgressions from us.

Insignificant.

Did you ever think about how insignificant our lives would be without God? I haven't thought about it to often myself. That is until yesterday after church services were over. I got this strange feeling after comunion was received. I sat down after comunion and I got to thinking about it.

Throuhghout the bible in several scripture verses we are told that without God we can do nothing, this is so true. For example; a beautiful flower or plant whichever you choose starts out as a seed, and if God didn't provide the sunshine and the rain for it to grow it wouldn't grow. Another example; a child in a mother's womb also starts out as a seed, and if God didn't provide the mother with the food and the resources she needs to feed the child the child wouldn't grow either. I could go on forever, but I think who reads this will understand where I am coming from.

If Jesus didn't die on the cross for all of our sins we would have no hope in anything. The ten lepers that Jesus healed in Luke 17: 11- 19, this could not of been possible without God's devine intervention, and the sad part of this all is there are so many people in this world that they think God owes this to them. This is not the case.

God does these things for us because he loves us, not because He has to do them . It all goes back to how insignificant we are without God in our lives. These things would never be possible without God through Jesus Christ. Praise God for all He does for us, and don't ever think God owes us. He gave us more then enough when Jesus went to the cross and dyed for our sins.

I am going to close this blog with scripture from the NASB bible that I hope will make sense to those who read it.

Job 40: 4

Behold, I am insingnificnt; what can I reply to you? I lay my hand on my mouth.

Job 4: 19

From six troubles He will deliver you, Even in seven evil will not touch you.

Matthew 13: 31- 32

He presented another parable, " The Kingdom of Heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and sowed in his field; 32 and this is smaller than all other seeds, but when it is full grown, it is larger than the garden plants and becomes a tree , so that the birds of the air come and nest in its branches. It is about a young lady who use to be a bass player in a punk rock band, who is now a Senior Minister of the First Congregational Church ( United Church of Christ ) in Glen Ellyn, Illinois.

I am not really sure if I should use her name so I am not going to, I just want to share with you, that God can change anyone He wants to change if we are obedient to Him. God calls all of us to do His work. He gives us all spritual gifts, and He asks us to use them or should I say He suggests that we use them, or maybe even commands us to use them.

He basically gives us a choice, and it is up to us on how we choose to use them. We are all called to do something ; for example this young lady was called to be a pastor, I was called to lead a Men's Ministry, Emily was called today to read her testimony on how she was changed from just a year ago. God changed her, and God can change anybody and everybody, and He will, but we have to die to ourselves, and put him first in everything.

This more often then not can be a very diifcult task because, we sometimes don't want to give up our old behaviours. We have to make sacrifices. We have to give up earthly habits, and replace them with Godly habits, Replace them with Heavenly habits, and again this can be very difficult.

These things we can't ignore either, because if we do God may have to do things very very dramatic to us to get our attention, and these things can be very scarey, and we have to always hope and pray that some of these dramatic things God does to us doesn't make it to late for us to change, if you know what I mean. God can change anybody. Please let Him do it, and when you do things according to His plan the rewards will be mind boggling. Praise God! From the NASB bible I am going to add a couple of scripture verses that I am sure were responsible for changing this young ladies life, and although I am not sure if it will influence everybody the same way it is worth meditating on, because it just might do the same to everybody.

Revelation 21:2

And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, made ready as a bride adorned for her husband.

Revelation 21:3-4

And I heard a loud voice from the throne, saying " Behold, the tabernacle of God is among men, and He will dwell among them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself will be among them, 4 and He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things have passed away. This however is not that kind of nation. So many people do what they do because it is right in their own eyes, therefore they make their own rules.

If you look around this nation you will notice that there is some serious challenges ahead of us, and if we don't do something soon we are going to Hell in a hand basket. In the years I have been alive I have never seen so much unemployment ever. Our government says the economy is getting back on track. I have to ask where? I have friends and relatives that have been out of work forever, and I don't see it getting better anytime soon.

When God was in everything once upon a time this nation wasn't hurting as much as it is now, but since this Nation is pretty much getting rid of everything about God and Jesus Christ we are falling apart very quickly, and not recovering anytime soon. There are other issues without God that are going down, but there isn't enough hours in the day to write about them, so that is why I just gave a quick example above.

I understand that all these things were prophesyed through out the bible, and no one believed it. I wonder how this nation feels now that they see everything around them fall apart. I wonder if anybody is even taking a second look, realizing that this nation has to go back to basics, and, that is submission to God and stop pretending that we don't need God for anything. Again look around.

In closing, in order to get a clear understanding about what this is all about please open your bibles and read Psalm 72. Please let me know if you know where I'm coming from.

We Are Never Alone When We Wait For God.

Did you ever consider this, that we are never really alone? I know I haven't. So many times we look around ourselves, and when there is nobody around we consider ourselves alone.

This isn't true. There is one person always around even when we are in various places alone. That person is Jesus Christ our Saviour. God sent His son Jesus Christ to be with us all of the time in the form of The Holy Spirit, that is awesome isn't it? I think it is.

He is here to talk to, to cry with, and to comfort us among other things. Lately we have had a lot of stresses, confusion, and fear of something we are all considering, and we are all trying very hard for His divine intervention, so that the decision we make isn't something we make at the wrong time.

We have all been praying for this option to take place, and so far neither of us have really received any direction, although I got a brief glimpse and breath of what it may be. My question is, and I know I have asked this before; How do we decearn if it is from GOD or otherwise? I wish I could answer this myself.

I feel Him here with me, but I am not sure if I am hearing the right voice, or the voice I am hearing is the other voice. The voice we don't want to hear or shouldn't hear, or is it our own voices we are hearing because we are desperate

In closing this blog consider this: Psalm 130: 5-6; 5 I wait for the Lord, my soul does wait, 6 My soul waits for the Lord More than the watchman for the morning; Indeed, more than the watchman for the morning.

Matthew 5-6; 5 " When you pray, you are not to be like the hypocrites; for they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and on the street corners so that they may be seen by men. Truly I say to you, they have their reward in full. 6 But you when you pray, go into your inner room, close your door and pray to your Father who is in secret, and your father who sees what is done in secret will reward you.

These two verses are according to the NASB bible.

Jesus, time, and us.

My inspiration for this blog came from a devotional that I read about a month ago, and it got me thinking, this could be something good to write about. First I want to start by saying I have been on both sides of this concept, so not only did I read about it, I have had first hand experience with it. It is amazing to me what difference it makes in my life.

I don't want anybody to take this personally, it is just a feeling I have. I know life is very busy, and it can be challenging trying to fit in just one more thing in our daily lives. If you think about it though, Jesus always had time for us and He still makes time for us in our daily lives.

Again don't take this personally . I arise very early in the morning, and many a time I would just go downstairs from my bedroom and, just park myself in front of the tv with my hot cup of coffee and watch vh1 music videos and, accomplish not much else in the morning, then I would go to work, and on a chaotic day I would lose control or have a melt down. These two things are not good for my health.

The point I am trying to make is, as busy as Jesus was and is, he would always find time for those who are in need of healing, or encouragement etc. and He always had lots of people wanting Him, needing Him, or worshipping Him. In all cases He would humble Himself and put other people first, even though He is King Of Kings.

In various parts of the bible Jesus tells us to humble ourselves and put other people before ourselves. Everybody is important, but it is important to remember that as important as we feel we are, it is important to put others before us. Put others first, and we should always try to find time to stop no matter how busy we are, and help a brother, sister or, somebody else, and maybe even a stranger if God calls us to do this.

Also if at all possible always find time to spend with Jesus. No matter what time of day. There is 24 hours in a day, and Jesus always finds time for us. I know that when I give Jesus time everyday, it makes a world of difference in my day. I wouldn't have it any other way. So again, if it is possible always find time to spend with Jesus. You won't regret it. Remember there is 24 hours in a day, and it really doesn't matter what time of day you spend with Him. Anytime is exceptable amen.

I want to close this blog with the scripture verse that follows according to the NASB bible.

Mark 10: 46- 52

46 Then they came to Jericho. And as He was leaving Jericho with His disciples and a large crowd, a blind begger named Bartimeaus, the son of Timaeus, was sitting by the road. 47 When he heard that it was Jesus the Nazarene, he began to cry out and say, " Jesus son of David, have mercy on me! " 48 Many were sternly telling him to be quiet, but he kept crying out all the more, " Son of David, have mercy on me! " 49 And Jesus stopped and said, " Call him here. " So they called the blind man, saying to him, " Take courage, stand up! He is calling for you. " 50 Throwing aside his cloak, he jumped up and came to Jesus. 51 And answering him, Jesus said, " What do you want me to do for you?" And the blind man said to Him, " Rabboni, I want to regain my sight!" 52 And Jesus said to him, " Go; your faith has made you well." Immediately he regained his sight and began following Him on the road.

A Vision or a Dream?

Saturday morning April 3, 2010 just before I arose for the day I had a vision, or was it a dream. Before I opened my eyes I had a vision of a building, I wasn't sure if it was a church or just another building. I am not even sure if it was local or somewhere else.

On the inside of the building there were to sections side by side that appeared to be santuaries. In this building I saw some familiar faces, and some people I know right now. Some of these people I knew are some people that I, now, go to church with, and the ones that looked familier were people perhaps I knew in the past.

I do remember however there were a lot of musicians and one of them I think was Gene the guitar player at Christ The King Church. He was trying to help me tune up my guitar so I could perform with him. I just told him that I would play quietly because right now I am not that good. After that I woke up, so I don't really know how the vision or the dream played out.

Keep in mind at the present time Christ the King church has been praying and hoping that we would find a church building to worship in and, we have all been praying for a while. At the end of this month I don't know where we will be worshipping, because St. Joseph's Church has us scheduled there through the end of this month, and after that we don't know. This vision or dream I had early Saturdy morning is what inspired this blog.

We are all still praying for a building to worship in.at the present time. I know God will provide, He always has, we just don't know when this provision is going to take place. I hope soon.

I want to close with these bible verses according to the NASB bible.

Job 33: 14-17

14 "Indeed God speaks once, or twice, yet no one notces it. 15" In a dream, a vision of the night, when sound sleep falls on men, while they slumber in their bed s, 16 Then He opens the ears of men, and seals their instructions, 17 that He may turn man aside from his conduct, and keep man from pride;

Numbers 12; 4-6

4 Suddenly the Lord said to Moses and Aaron and to Miriam, " You three come out to the tent of meeting. " So the three of them came out. 5 Then the Lord came down in a pillar of cloud and stood at the doorway of the tent, and He called Aaron and Miriam. When they had both come forward, 6 He said " Hear now my words: If there is a prophet among you, I, the Lord, shall make Myself known to him in a vision. I shall speak with him in a dream.

Revised Friendships.

When we speak in silence or out loud, God hears us, He listens to us, and He speaks back to us. The reason I am opening this way is because just recently something amazing happened to me, and not only to me, to my daughter Kara and also to my daughter Emily as well.

First let me start with me. It probably has been a year or two since I even talked to Joie Thomson. Joie Thomson and myself went to school to become ministers together, but after a little while I had to quit because I was getting really stressed out, which really was putting my health at risk . It was to much for me to cope with at that time. However, Joie kept on going, but I couldn't, and this was approximately one or two years ago.

Lately I have been thinking a lot about him, and wondered what he was up to? Without even attempting to find him, a few days ago I received a friend request from him on one of the social networks. This was the miracle I am talking about. Remember, in silence I was herd. I didn't say anything to anybody I was just silent and wondering.

The next miracle I want to talk about is a friend of Kara's from High school. I am guessing this person was on that same social network as I was, and got wind of Kara's photography business and not only loved her work but also asked her if her business in his business could partner together.

He is a disc jocky, and his business is growing relatively fast, and he made the proposal to her if they could both work together to make available packages to the clients of weddings Barmitvahs etc? She said yes and is now pretty excited about it, and a little anxious as well. You see God is always looking out for all of His children, and when He is involved and it is according to His will, He will always provide a way, and some of the time you don't even have to say a word because He knows before we even know.

The last miracle, but certainly not the least is Emily's miracle, and this entails the relationship she is in now, and has been for the last six monthes or so. It seems to me, anyway, that Emily and Mike are meant to be with each other. Because even after all the stuff that they have been through both together and seperately they always end up being with each other again no matter what. This is a blessing from God and we should be thanking Him for it. I think this is the best thing that ever happened to both of them. I do hope they feel the same way. Give all the glory to God and praise Him, because no one can do what He can do, and I mean no one. In closing this blog, I would like to leave you with this scripture verse according to the NASB Bible as written.

1 Samuel 18: 1-4

1 Now it came about when he had finished speaking to Saul, that the soul of Jonathan was knit to the soul of David, and Jonathan loved him as himself. 2 Saul took him that day and did not let him return to his father's house. 3 Then Jonathan made a covenant with David because he loved him as himself. 4 Jonathan stripped himself of the robe that was on him and gave it to David, with his armor, including his sword and his bow and his belt.

Why is it Lord?

I quite often wonder, Why is it that trials almost always happen in at least threes, but sometimes they last in larger quantities. For example this week during the heavy down pours, in the twenty one years I haved lived in this place I never even had a drop of water in my cellar, but this time I had several inches.

Then to boot one of our trees in our back yard snapped right in half and, not only that ,our front stairs to this place are starting to fall apart. This is an exception to the rule my wife has been extremely sick this week not only with the flu but also with the stomach bug to wrap up the week. It has been a very tough week.

I don't really know Lord what lessons you want me to learn from these experiences but it has certainly been discouraging. I know these things can be taking care of but, they cost money I don't have and I don't have a clue where the finances are going to come from. I am wondering Lord if these things are happening because you want us to leave this place, or is it a test of our faith in you. It is all so confusing.

Lord before I close this blog I want to ask You what is it You want me to do with these circumstances? How should I be handling this? Please show me what it is You want me to do, because Lord I don't have a clue in Jesus's name amen.

I leave this blog with a couple of verses of scipture that I hope, it not only helps me to understand, but others who read this blog that might be going through some kind of trial. I am getting these verses of scripture according to the NASB Bible.

Deuteronomy 8:2

You shall remember all the way which the Lord your God has led you in the wilderness these forty years, that He might humble you, testing you, to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep His commandments or not
Psalm 57:1

Be gracious to me, O God, be gracious to me, For my soul takes refuge; And in the shadow of Your wings I will take refuge. Until destruction passes by.

Job 5:19

From six troubles He will deliver you, Even in seven evil will not touch you.

Gods Presence.

How often do we aknowledge God's presence in every day life? When we think about it, not a whole lot. When we wake up every morning, we take for granted the beauty of His presence, and, think it is just another day.

What we don't relize is when we wake up and see what is around us, this is God's presence. Like a big canvas, and ,He is the artist, and when we think about it, he really is an artist of infinite proportion. He is the creator of all things, and the things that He creates not even the best human artist in the world can create.

There are more things to His presence, however. His presence is in all of us. We just have to make the choice whether we want His presence in us or not, Who wouldn't? Surprisingly many of us.

When God is present in us we should know it, and here is why: We never face anything alone, He carries us through thick and thin and He is always just a prayer away. God is an easy person to talk to, and He is a good listener as well. I know it is hard to believe sometimes but it is true.

I pray a lot to Him and although sometimes His answers don't come quickly according to our expectations, those prayers are always answered, and sometimes they are not the answers we come to expect, but they are always answered. Sometimes they come from another person, sometimes they come to us in dreams, sometimes they come in through the weather, and a lot of times they come through in scripture.

In any event the point is God's presence is everywhere all of the time. It never ends. We should all be thankful for His presence. It is a gift. It is His love for us. it is His grace. It is the best thing that can happen to us, and we should run with it all of our lives, amen. In closing this blog, I want to leave you with this scripture verse according to the NASB Bible.

Genesis 28:16

Then Jacob awoke from his sleep and said, " Surely the Lord is in this place, and I did not know it."

When God Closes a Door.

One of the most frustrating things that can happen to us, and it can also be quite discouraging is when God closes a door on us, especially when we get so close, yet so far away . How many times has this happened to you? I know it has happened to me a few times.

Just recently this happened to someone I know, and what makes it very frustating is he thought the interview for this job, went well and, had everything going for him, but to no avail. He is frustrated, discouraged and probably a little angry.

I want to use an example, and this happened to me maybe about three to five years ago. I applied for a job at the same place I work at now, but just a different department. The position was a patient advocate or the communication link between the hospital staff and the families of the patient. This is the best way I can describe the position.

I was told to see three different people and the H.R. department, and I did all of that, and I even had interviews with every one of these people that were recommended to me, and I thought I had the job. I thought all of the interviews went well, so I was excited,I was in my glory, and then the bad news came. I didn't get the job.

I was upset, I was angry, I was confused, I was discouraged, I was all of these things. After the bad news I said to myself: " Where did I go wrong? " I wanted to cry and I almost did. After thinking about it for awhile I just excepted it and moved on.

Here is my point. This is the high light. A few weeks later that position no longer existed, they discontinued it at the blink of an eye! It was gone in a flash! God was protecting me so that I wouldn't be jobless. God is Faithful and He is always protecting us.

These experiences can be discouraging and can make us very angry, but God is always here for us, and He loves us, and He is always protecting us, He is always looking out for our best interests. This we must always remember. He loves us and we have to love Him back. We have to look at all He has done for us, and what He still does for us.

I want to close this blog with this verse of scripture according to the NASB Bible: 1 Corinthians 16: 8-9.

8 But I will remain in Ephesus until Pentecost; 9 for a wide door for effective service has opened to me, and there are many adversaries.

Are you running away from God?

How many times have you ran away from God once, twice, or a hundred times? I know I have or at least tried to run away from God. I was inspired to write this by a sermon that Charles Stanley preached on Sunday 2-7-2010 at 6:00 Am.

When we run away from God things happen that are not so pleasant. Just like when we disobey our parents or any authority for that matter we get ourselves in a situation that enslaves us, and then trying to get out of it can become a very difficult position to get out of. Our conscience gets the best of us, and we start thinking extremely irrationally, and this just makes the situation worse.

Some irrational thoughts I am talking about for example are we consider suicide, and some people go a step furthur and try to commit suicide because they are really feeling unworthy even to live, and it can get much worse.

Think for a moment what happened to you the last time you tried running from God. There is no denying it we all have done it at one time or another.

I don't really remember the most recent time I tried to run away from God, but I do remember a number of years ago what happened when I tried to run away from God, and it started off with things going on in my own home. There was a lot of tension, stress, and misery, and it followed me where ever I went and in everything I did.

It affected my family and I in literally everything including finances, socially, emotionally, in every way possible even to the point of wanting to commit suicide!, and tried but wasn't successful at it, but the good thing is even through that, God was there all the time, because if it wasn't for Him I probably wouldn't be here today to write about it.

This experience can be a very humbling experience and it is. You can't really ever run away from God because He is every where, and no matter how hard you try it isn't possible. He will always find you, but consider also, if you try to run from Him, there will always be consequences. If you run from God and keep on running from Him, before you know it there will be emptiness, lonliness, seperation, and no hope. This isn't a good place to be. I have experienced it and even though it was a short period of time it was still very painful.

I was lonely, hopeless, empty, and seperated from everything. Isolated probably describes it best.

In closing this blog I want to recommend two things: First go to www.intouch.org and click on video archive : The costly decision to run from God, and then in your bibles read the book of Jonah in the old testament these two reccomendations will give you a very good idea of what happens when you run away from God .

The way God works in our lives.

Yesterdays Men's Ministry meeting was as good as they always are, but yesterday was an exception. Lately I have had a lot of things going on that I can't really explain, so I thought maybe I should discuss it with the men's group.

We reffered back to the devotional I had on January 30,2010 which was probably only about a week ago, but it seems like it was a long time ago. The verse was from the book of John in the bible. It was John 15: 1-4. It had something to do with pruning.

Think about a gardener for a moment; A gardener is somebody that takes care of a garden, and one of there main responsibilities is to maintain a garden, and one of the things they do is remove the weeds from the garden. These weeds have a tendency to choke out the plant that produces the most flowers. Thus where pruning comes in.

This is how God works in our lives as well. If there is something in the way that is stopping us from having the intermate relationship with God that we are all suppose to have with Him we need some maintenance or pruning to take place. This pruning can, and is very painful sometimes, and it may take a long time to pass, but not all the time.

It has been pretty painful and my emotions among other things have all been on a rollar coaster ride, and I don't like roller coasters! So we based our meeting on that, and that is why it was a good meeting.

I didn't want to share with the men at first what was going on because I was afraid that they might have laughed at me or think I was crazy, but when I finally shared it, good things came out of it. I realized that all of us were going through one thing or another. Although not the exact same things, they all had some kind of common denominator.

The Pastors perspective, when he told me made sense. What he told me was that God is about to do the best works in you that He has ever done. I am still waiting , however, but I am trying real hard to pay better attention to the signs and Gods voice. So let me close with this scripture verse according to the NASB Bible.

John 15: 1-4

Jesus Speaking: 1" I am the true vine, and my Father is the vine dresser. 2 Every branch in me that does not bear fruit, He takes away, and every branch that bears fruit, He prunes it so that it may bear more fruit. 3 You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. 4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me.

What if you don't know?

Being a blogger/ writer I get my inspirations from several different venues. Todays blog that I am about to attempt, I received from two sources. The first inspiration I received was from The Hour of Power at The Crystal Cathederal in Garden Grove,

California preached by Shelia Colman Schuller, the second one from my own Pastor, Pastor Mike of The Christ the King church in Wakefield, Mass.

The first one I want to mention is from Shelia Coleman Schuller. She talked about thinking big by writing down your own life plan and then how God rights His plan for us. We supposedly write our goals down for our own lives, and then we work very hard to accomplish these goals, and than God gets wind of them, and changes them all.

We may get discouraged and think we failed, but then God speaks to us and tells us I have predestined the plans for your life already, and whatever you do to try to change them if it is not according to My will for you it will not work. Now sometimes if you do set goals for your life and have all these big ideas they may come true, but it will Have to be on My time, again if it is according to My will.

I have been on both sides of this experience, and this is how it went.

Whenever it was my way something would happen to stop it from going any furthur, and I would get discouraged and think I failed. Then I would debate with myself and would ask myself; Do I want to give up and not try anymore, or should I pray and try to listen to what God wants me to do? The right answer is to pray on it and try to hear what God is saying to me.

The second part of my inspiration for this blog is what Pastor Mike was teaching today. He was teaching us that the body of Jesus has many parts, and each and everyone of these parts have a job to do, thus the spritual gifts we are all given. We are all a part of the body of Jesus and we all have a job to do. What if you don't know? What are we suppose to do? The answer is always go back to basics. Always, always, always try to listen to that, oh so small voice of Jesus Christ whether it is in His word through the bible, in our dreams, or through another person.

LORD I AM STILL TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHAT YOUR PLAN FOR MY LIFE IS. I FEEL LIKE I AM OBEYING YOU FOR WHAT I DO IN MY EVERYDAY LIFE, BUT I FEEL LIKE THERE SHOULD BE MORE BECAUSE I FEEL LIKE I AM SO UNFULFILLED, AND I AM VERY CONFUSED. I HAVE ANXIETIES THAT I NEVER USE TO HAVE, BUT IT SEEMS THEY ARE SHOWING UP MORE THEN EVER NOW. LORD IF THERE IS MORE PLEASE SPEAK TO ME OR GIVE ME A SIGN OR SHOULD I JUST THROW IN THE TOWEL? I AM LOST. PLEASE HELP ME JESUS IN YOUR NAME I PRAY AMEN.

I would like to close this blog with this bible verse: Job 10: 2-12 from the NASB bible.

2 " I will say to God, ' Do not condemn me; Let me know why You contend with me. 3' Is it right for you indeed to oppress, To reject the labor of Your hands, And to look favorably on the schemes of the wicked? 4 ' Have you eyes of flesh? Or do you see as a man sees? 5 ' Are your days as the days of a mortal, Or Your years as man's years, 6 That You should seek for my guilt And search after my sin? 7 ' According to Your knowledge I am indeed not guilty, Yet there is no deliverance from Your hand. 8' Your hands fashioned and made me altogether, And would You desroy me? 9 ' Remember now, that You have made me as clay; And would You turn me into dust again? 10 ' Did You not pour me out like milk And curdle me like cheese; 11 Clothe me with skin and flesh, And knit me together with bones and sinews? 12 ' You have granted me life and lovingkindness; And Your care has preserved my sprit.

Taking life for granted.

Lets look around for a moment. In more times than not we don't appreciate what we have available to us including loved ones and friends, it seems that we always want more. These moments are very precious moments, and they can be lost in a very short period of time.

Now consider this. Look what happened in Haiti, and in a very short period of time, and a week later they are still looking for survivors. This isn't a news story I am writing, but I think it is a very important blog to inform many people how precious life can really be. When we are born as children and as we grow we encounter many things in life that we are faced with, sometimes wonderful, and sometimes not so wonderful.

We all have our ups and downs, but life on earth is a very short period of time when you think about it. We have fights we even sometimes hold grudges. This isn't what Gods plan is for us. He wants us to get along and enjoy each others company because again life can end very abruptly, either by natural disasters or do to our own decisions. What is precious to us? What is important to us? I can't speak for everybody, but I can speak for myself.

This is what is precious and important to me. God and the gift that He gave to us, Jesus Christ, my wife, my two daughters, my son in law, my grandson, my mother,my step dad, my brother and sister and the few friends I have to name a few. Gods plan for us is not to take life for granted but to enjoy every precious moment of everyday with the gifts that He gave to us, Jesus Christ, our families, and our friends.

I am closing this blog with this scripture verse from the NASB bible.

Ecclesiastes 11:8

Indeed, if a man should live many years, let him rejoice in them all, and let him remember the days of darknes, for they will be many. Everything that is to come will be futillity.

Welcome to 2010.

Hello all

Now that 2009 is over let us welcome in a new year. The middle to the end of 2009 was sort of an introduction to some new adventures in my spritual journey among a few others that I know of. Although I don't know the exact dates that they happened I do want to review some of the things of 2009 that we experienced and some of the adventures that are here now and that lie ahead.

This is probably the only date I remember. On June 27 2009 the old church that we were involved with had our first Christian concert on Wakefield common, and this was the beginning of the new adventures I had talked about earlier in this blog. Let it be known we had a lot of resistance trying to get this started from many of the officers of the old church, but we pulled it off with the help of our Father in Heaven through Jesus Christ.

It was a cloudy and kind of a cool day for the end of June, we kept on looking to the sky and expected it to rain but it didn't. The concert started late morning or early afternoon and lasted till approximately 7:00 PM. We had four bands but we were suppose to have at least five, but one of the bands couldn't make it.

The first bands we started with were The Bullock Brothers and then The Sons of The Bullock Brothers. This band played the longest out of all the bands because the band that didn't show up was suppose to be the band to relieve them. So then between maybe 3:00PM and 4:00PM Bobby Bishop a local Christian rapper took the stage. Generally speaking I don't usually like rap music, but his rap music was the best I ever heard then I had to leave for a couple of hours.

When I came back to the common around 5:00PM or so,The final band was taking the stage. This was a heavy metal band called Exiting The Fall. This music I thought I had out grown, but I enjoyed the music in what little time I stayed for. Although neither one of bands probably didn't make a lot of money they all got paid something for their time they spent at the common.

The last thing I want to mention is in July of 2009 Pastor Mike and a few of us had left the old church because of complications of some so not productive activities going on there. We were called from God to move on to bigger and better things that I have planned for you, and being obedient to God we did what we were told.

We have a new church now and although we don't have a permenent home for this church now we do have permission right now to use a cozy little room in a Catholic church to worship in. Thank God and praise Him for this, because if it wasn't for Him we would have no where to go. This I believe is part of His bigger plan that He has for us and the new church. Christ The King Church.

Welcome to 2010. The beginning of this new year is already setting the stage for good things to happen this year. And just so happens that this new blog is one of them, and by the way we are also planning an Awakenfest for 2010 and I think at this stage of the game we already have five or six bands that interested.

Thank God and lets praise Him together and reunite!

This is my new blog

Hello everybody

As some of you may know my mocministry website is down, and it is difficult if at all to have access to it. My son in law is vigorously working on it but to know avail. I really don't know how long it will be down for, so I decided to do a new blog.

I hope this one will work out, and my intentions are still the same. I hope to update it often with pictures and text and if not all the time, but I hope some of the time I will add scripture verses to it also.
